ADS Awarded SBIR Phase II Extension
United States Air Force Research Laboratory extends Phase II award to ADS for advanced CFD capabilities
PLEASANTON, Calif - June 21, 2011 - AeroDynamic Solutions, Inc. (ADS) announced today that it was the recipient of a Small Business Innovation Research Phase II Extension from the United States Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). To support AFRL initiatives in the area of advanced gas turbine research, ADS will continue to develop advanced conjugate heat transfer and full wheel time accurate simulation capabilities for its aerospace-class solver, Code Leo, and structured mesh generator, Code Wand.
"The quest for higher efficiency gas turbine engines has driven more heavily loaded designs capable of operating at extremely high temperatures and pressure ratios," said George Fan, CEO of ADS. "Turbine designers need CFD that can be counted on during design to accurately predict aerodynamic loads and airfoil metal temperatures under these conditions. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Air Force Research Laboratory to deliver these capabilities to market."
