ADS Release 4.0 Now Available

Latest release includes third party mesh support for Code Leo, mesh enhancement options for Code Wand and improvements to the ADS Workbench

PLEASANTON, Calif. - July 18, 2011 - AeroDynamic Solutions, Inc. (ADS) today announced the availability of ADS 4.0, an update to its turbomachinery CFD solution suite.

In addition to bug fixes, ADS 4.0 features several new capabilities, including:

• Mesh conversion support.  ADS 4.0 includes two new utilities, ADS-GEO and ADS-BCGEO, to allow CFX5 meshes to be used with Code Leo. 

• Enhanced meshing support.  A "linear fit" option has been added to the ADS mesh generator Code Wand to improve leading/trailing edge mesh quality. 

• Improved workbench capabilities.  Several enhancements to the ADS Workbench were made in Release 4.0.  Row clocking, implicit scaling and the generation of time-averaged restart files are now supported for time accurate cases.  Engine model support has also been enhanced, allowing users to incorporate cavity, bleed and cooling flow into their simulation runs.  Charts may now be copied to the clipboard for use with presentations or papers, and mouseover support is provided to view approximate data values at the mouseover point.  Finally, single and multi-row simulations may now be conducted directly from restart files.
