ADS Release 3.7 Now Available
Latest release delivers mistuned vane support and enhancements to mesh generation and the ADS Workbench
PLEASANTON, Calif. - April 18, 2011 - AeroDynamic Solutions, Inc. (ADS) today announced the availability of ADS 3.7, an update to its turbomachinery CFD solution suite.
In addition to bug fixes, ADS 3.7 features several new capabilities, including:
- Mistuned vane simulation support. ADS 3.7 now supports the ability to conduct mistuned vane simulations to mitigate high cycle fatigue during design.
- Enhanced meshing support. Release 3.7 now includes the ability to specify leading edge definition at the minimum X value as well as support for denser meshes in the K direction.
- Improved workbench capabilities. Several enhancements to the workbench have been made in Release 3.7, including a new O-H mesh partitioning capability for large scale time accurate simulations, the ability to convert ADS restart files to VTK format directly from the project explorer, and support for MPIEXEC optional parameters.
"With ADS 3.7 we've continued to improve the ease and flexibility of our CFD solution for turbomachinery design," said Bob Ni, Chairman and CTO of ADS. "These improvements make it easier for our clients to proactively address turbine and compressor durability issues, before committing to hardware."
